My name is Papri Rani Dutta, and I'm a young art student from Bangladesh.

My artistic practice is rooted in rural life, handmade traditions, and the everyday creative culture I grew up with. Sewing, Nakshi Kantha, embroidery, and other forms of folk craft have shaped the way I understand art—not simply as visual expression, but as a vessel for memory, identity, and lived experience.
Through painting and mixed media, I explore the relationship between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary visual language. I often incorporate textiles, stitching, and handmade materials into my work to reflect stories of family, women's labor, and cultural heritage. My practice seeks to highlight the beauty and significance of everyday crafts that are often overlooked.
By bringing folk traditions into contemporary art, I hope to create works that preserve cultural memory while opening new conversations about identity, history, and belonging.
